
In September this year, 588 permits were issued in Cyprus for the construction of various real estate objects. This figure thus turned out to be 15% higher than last year. The largest part of permits involves the construction of residential facilities - apartments and houses - 402 permits. This is immediately 59.1% higher than in 2017. The cost of commissioned facilities has also increased significantly - according to preliminary estimates, it will amount to 160 million euros. The area of the new residential real estate is estimated at 155,000 sq. m.
The largest number of housing objects will be built in Limassol and the capital of the country Nicosia (183 and 191 objects). Famagusta will become richer by 82 objects, Paphos and Larnaca by 76 and 44 objects, respectively.
