
During the first quarter of this year, 1591 building permits were issued in Cyprus at once. The growth in comparison with the same period last year was 5%. At the same time, the cost of objects that will be put into operation under these licenses (an annual growth of 13.2%) and the building area (+ 12.7%) have grown significantly.
It is noteworthy that Limassol and the country's capital, Nicosia, continue to receive the largest number of permits. Limassol received 284 licenses, Nicosia received 180 permits. Next are Larnaca, Paphos and Famagusta, which received 82, 56 and 13 licenses, respectively.
